Account settings
The tab gathers every fact only the account’s owner can state, each in its own card. Which cards are drawn depends on the account; a card with nothing true to say is not drawn at all.
Always there
Section titled “Always there”Account details reads the bank, the currency, the type and the IBAN and BIC. Edit unfolds three of them in place: bank, IBAN and BIC. The currency and the type are not editable: changing the type would move the account to another category and change where its value comes from, which is a different account, not a field. An IBAN is checked against its own check digits before it is stored.
Platform fees takes two amounts: what the platform charges a year, and what it charges per operation. Both are read off a statement Badlen has never seen, so nothing is validated against a schedule of charges. Both boxes save when you leave the field: there is no button.
Manage this account, at the foot, is the danger zone:
- Archive: the account stays listed and counted, greyed out, but is no longer written to. Reactivate undoes it.
- Delete: asks for confirmation, then erases the account and everything in it. This cannot be undone.
- Sync, drawn on a crypto wallet and nowhere else: it asks the chain what the address holds now. A source that is down says so rather than spinning in silence.
Drawn where they apply
Section titled “Drawn where they apply”| Card | On which account |
|---|---|
| Opening date (or purchase, acquisition, loan start) | Where the date decides a tax threshold, and on a loan, an object or a REIT share, which no other screen dates |
| Loan terms | A loan: amount borrowed, rate and term, which with the start date make the schedule |
| Payment ceiling | A PEA or a similar wrapper: the total you have paid in since it opened, which Badlen cannot compute and you have to state |
| Savings product | A passbook: which one it is, since the ceiling is set per product and not per account type |
| Tax rates | An account with a latent gain: social charges and income tax, when the ordinary case is not yours |
The date card refuses an empty box and a day that does not exist. Clearing a date on record is its own button, Remove the date, so you cannot reach the empty state by half-typing.
